Legend is crying mostly because he isn't feeling well, but also because he doesn't understand why Daddy and Mommy are so busy not playing with him.
Me - "Legend, we are getting ready for a party! It is cousin Joselynn's birthday party today. Your cousins will be there, there will be toys and games, maybe some balloons, some cake..."
Legend - "Cake?"
Me - "Yes, and Uncle Darcy and Auntie Ashley, and cousin Lena..."
Legend - "Cake? Party? Cake?"
Me - "Yes Legend, there will likely be cake. That is why we are so busy. We have to get ready to go. I am wrapping presents for Joselynn..."
Legend - "Party. Cake. Let's go!"
Me - "We will go to the party very soon, but not yet."
Legend bursts into tears again.
