Boo

We made Halloween party invitations today.

I show the tots a sparkly foam ghost to stick on their cards and ask, "Do you know what a ghost says?"

They look at me silently for a beat.

I jump and yell - "Boo!"

All the tots start, then giggle. (There was a risk Kayla would cry, but she was in a good silly mood so it worked out.)

Later, Uncle Cody comes home from work. Kayla is very excited to show him the card she made.

Kayla - "Come see, Uncle Cody!"

Cody looks at the card - "Wow, great job Kayla! Look at the stickers and the ghost!"

Me - "What does a ghost say, Kayla?"

Kayla smiles - "Boo!"

Uncle Cody jumps and pretends to be scared. Kayla thinks this is awesome.

She chases Cody around the house with her card, "Boo-ing" Cody and laughing at his yelps.
