Legend is newly potty trained and doing very well with it. I still have to remind him often, and when I do I always ask, "Legend, do you have to go pee?" After a "No thank you" from Legend, I always follow with, "Okay, but don't pee in your pants." He seems to benefit from the admonishment.
We are at the park and Legend tears across sand to me at full speed.
Legend - "Mommy! Don't pee on the swing!"
Me - "That's right..."
Legend - "Don't pee on the slide!"
Me - "Okay..."
Legend - "Don't pee in underwears."
Me - "Legend, do you have to go pee?"
Legend gives a quick nod - "Uh-hun. Hurry!"
Too many warnings, not enough action there. But, we made it.
